Born 26 August 1907 at Derby, Derbyshire to John Henry and Annie Ruth Hicklin nee Perkins. 1911 residing with his parents at 109 Lower Dale Road, Derby. Occupation prior to enlistment page boy. Enlisted 27 January 1923 on HMS Ganges. Died 18th June 1925 aged 18. From an accidental drowning in Malta Dockyard. His mother and Grandmother were informed of his death 19 June 1925.
