D523 William BIRMINGHAM. Petty Officer, Stoker M37350, formerly K55382 and SS113198 Royal Navy on HMS Eagle. Enlisted as K55382 2nd January 1913 as Petty Officer Stoker, occupation Royal Navy as SS112198 re-engaged as M37350 1 January 1923 as Petty Officer Stoker. When he originally enlisted 2 January 1913 as SS113198 on HMS Vivid 2, his occupation was coal drawer. Born 22 September 1894 at St Helen’s Lancashire to Frederick and Martha Birmingham, nee Prince. 1901 he was residing with his parents and siblings at 25 Rlye Street, Toxeth Park Liverpool. Died 23rd May 1925 aged 30 years at Royal Naval Hospital, Malta of carbuncle of lip and septicaemia. His widow was informed of his death 25 May 1925
At rest in Plot D Grave 523 Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
