Enlisted 12 December 1919 as Stoker 2nd Class. Died 17th June 1923 aged 23 years from multiple burns and shock at Royal Naval Hospital, Malta. His mother was informed of his death 18th June 1923.

Born 12 September 1900 South Church, Bishop Auckland, County Durham to Thomas and Mary Amelia Race nee Kitching. 1911 he was residing with his parents and siblings at 8 Hillbeck Street, South Church, Bishop Auckland, Durham. Enlisted 12 September 1918 as Boy 2nd Class, J87620, occupation prior to enlistment, labourer. 29 May 1919 he was transferred to HMS Centurion as SS 122289. Died 17th June 1923 aged 23 years from burns and shock at Royal Naval Hospital. His mother was informed of his death 21st June 1923.

Enlisted 21 August 1912, occupation, merchant seaman. Died 18th June 1923 aged 30 years from burns and shock at Royal Naval Hospital, Malta. His father was informed of his death 19th June 1923.
