D444 Peter Grant JARDINE, Chief Motor Mechanic, MB/1721, Royal Naval (VR), (Motor Boat Reserve) on HMS Egmont, Malta, shore base. Born 1887 at Kirkintolloch , Dumbartonshire to William and Elizabeth at 7 Ruchill Street, Maryhill, Lanarkshire. 1911 he was residing with his wife Ada at 89 Stanley Road, Nottingham, occupation, motor car driver. Died 6th May 1919 aged 32 years at Royal Naval Hospital, Malta of shock after and operation for removal of kidney. He suffered from pyonephrosis and heprectomy. Husband of Ada Jardine, of Church View, Breaston, Derby who was informed of his death. His brother Richard Grant Jardine served as Private 2713, 30th Royal Fusiliers and survived the war he gave his brother Peter Grant Jardine as his next of kin who was residing at 17 Richmond Avenue, St Anns Well Road, Nottingham.
