D436 John Hurford WILLIE, Stoker 1st Class, K/30108, HMS Veronica. Born 26 July 1881 at Chard Devon, occupation prior to enlistment, asylum attendant. Enlisted 30 December 1915. Died 17th March 1919 aged 37 years from influenza and broncho pneumonia. 1901 he was residing with his wife Henrietta Jessie nee Snelling at The Gardens, Barrow Hedge, Carshalton, Surrey, occupation, cowman of an estate. 1911 now at 547 Commercial Road, Stepney East with his wife and family still with the same occupation. His wife Henrietta Jessie of 39 Sydney Road Sutton, Surrey was informed of his death He was married at Epsom registration district 1900.
