D396 CHARLES PERCIVAL BISHOP, Private Ply/19130, Royal Marines Light Infantry stationed on HMS Egmont shore base, Malta serving on HMS Caesar. Born 29 May 1899 at New Cross, London to Edward Robert and Jane Rosa Bishop nee Arundell. 1901 and 1911 he was residing with his parents and siblings at 82 Hunsdon Road, Dentford, London. He enlisted and was posted the Marine Depot in Kent 15 August 1931 to 31 December 1916 and then posted to Plymouth. Civilian occupation Boy Steward. Died in Royal Naval Hospital, Bighi, Malta 11th October 1918 aged 19 years of broncho pneumonia and influenza. His mother was informed of his death.
