Cook Herbert

He died along with 8 other sappers whilst training on the railway were killed by a German bomb dropped on their billet in Church Street, Melbourne. 11th July 1940. Eight died at the scene one died later in hospital.

Son of Arthur John & Elsie of Willesden, Essex "and that is what war's hand bestows filling the catalogue of human woes"
