Yes a truly fine weapon. I used to have a wooden butt from one but when I got divorced it went astray. i was going to clean it up a bit and attach some artillery badges.
All variants of the FAL are popular in the US, I suppose it is a combination of good looks, reliability, a myriad of options, good stout round, and the fact that they were used by so many nations worldwide.
Nice shot never thought to search under that name we called them the "FN" or offically the FN C1. I'm postive it was it's power which still makes it popular. Our Navy (last I heard) still keeps a few for anti-shark duty, they don't trust our new C7 to penetrate water and shark hide!!!
