...it`s an American version of a breakdown truck,Commonwealth breakdown trucks have the large I-beam in the back mounted along the roof that slid back and forth.Both were used in and around shops as well as out in the field to facilitate engine swaps etc. This vehicle should be called a CCKW 252 short wheel base,I could be wrong because of the equipment configuration.
