A rocket powered interceptor
This had 24 70mm rockets in its nose cone.
after attacking the bombers the pilot had to activate explosive bolts that jettisoned the nose of the aircraft, then pull a lever that would deploy a parachute at the rear of the plane. When the parachute deployed it would throw the pilot out of his seat and he would then deploy his parachute. The rear of the aircraft could then be recovered and re used.
