This is a Landrover kitted out with Makrolon sheets (armour) for use in Northern Ireland. We called them 'Piglets'
The Makrolon sheets were transparent and were fitted on the inside of the windows. The armour on the outside was , I believe a Polycarbonate sheeting. This sheeting tended to be refered to as 'Makrolon' but that ws the name of the clear armour for the windows.
