VM-T Atlant

The VM-T Atlant was a development of the M-4 Bison bomber adopted for transporting oversized cargo in an overwing container. The aircraft was originally known as 3M-T and later as BM-T. The tail fin of the M-4 was replaced by two vertical stabilizers to accommodate the large overwing cargo container that was twice the diameter of the aircraft's fuselage. The VM-T Atlant was originally developed for the Soviet 'Buran' space shuttle program and was later complemented by the Antonov An-225 Mriya.
