As I understand it, this is the stand in for the delayed appearance of the "T 95" from Nizny Tagil. A direct derivative of the T 72 / T 80 it has major upgrades on every bit of equipment - though the Russian army tanks have a better powerpack and countermeasures (smoke mortars etc) fitted. Though it is in service with the Indian army the actual specifications of the equipment is of a lower class. A standard feature of Soviet/Russian export. Thanks for the steer on the Indian side of things.
