Lieutenant William Leefe Robinson VC Worcestershire Regiment attached to Royal Flying Corps. On a patrol over Cuffley, Essex 2/3 September 1916 engaged in night flying in the defence of London. After he had been in the air over two hours and had attacked one airship he attacked a Zeppelin in particularly difficult and dangerous circumstances sending it down in flames - the first destruction of an airship in England.
