Imagine of the Distinctive Unit Insignia (commonly called 'unit crest'.) of the 325th Infantry Regiment, U.S. Army. Currently apart of the 82nd Airborne Division, Ft Bragg, NC.
Worn on the shoulder loops (& service cap for enlisted) of the Class A Uniform. By all soldiers assigned to the battalions of this regiment, regardless their specialty or rank. Upon reassignment to another unit. This is no longer worn, and the 'crest' of the current unit worn.
*Infantry soldiers may choose this as the regimental affiliation. while assigned. Then authorized permanent wear above the right breast pocket of their Class A coat.
**The other branches of the US military have no equvilant insignia.
