Born 1889 to Robert Henry and Elizabeth, nee Fasana. 1891 with his parents at 31 Nicholls Street, Ardwick, Lancaster. 1901 with his parents at 30 Edward Street, 1911 the family had moved to no 19. Edward Street, Ladybarn, Manchester. Occupation 1911 warehouseman (Home trade)
Killed in France 3rd May 1917 aged 27. His father was granted a war gratuity 14 August 1917 his brother Harry the 22 December 1919.
Commemorated on his parents' memorial at Manchester Southern Cemetery and also on the Arras Memorial, France
