Major,Deputy Assistant Director of Veterinary Services attached to the 59th Army Veterinary Corps died on active service at Rouen, France, 21st October 1917 aged 49. Son of Joseph of Stoke on Trent and husband of Gertrude Mary nee Hedge [married 1906 at Stoke on Trent] of Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury. Commemorated on a memorial at Hartshill Cemetery, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire and is buried at Saint Sever Cemetery, Rouen, France
