- This plaque was unveiled by Colonel J H McGUINESS T.D. on behalf of the Birkenhead and District Branch the Cheshire Regiment Association. To honour the memory of the residents of Wirral who made the supreme sacrifice whilst serving as members of the 22nd (Cheshire) regiment. Sunday 22nd Of September 1996
