CANTRELL, Charles William. Private 2369, 1/7th Cheshire Regiment killed in action at Sulva Bay, 9th December 1915 aged 29. He was the husband of May of 43, Grange Avenue, Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire. "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends" He is commemorated on a family memorial at Macclesfield Cemetery, Cheshire and is commemorated on the Helles Memorial, Turkey and Gallipoli.
