- SMITH Charles Thomas. Sapper, Deal/1156(S), Royal Marines Divisional Engineers, Royal Navy Division. Born 18 November 1886 at St Georges Parish, Deal, Kent. Husband of Lillian M Smith, of 14 Dolphin Street later of 1 Prince Albert Villas, Sandown Road, Deal. Died in a hospital in Malta 22nd August 1915 aged 20 years from a bullet wound to the left side of his chest received in the Dardenelles. At rest in Plot C Grave 269 Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
