Private PLY/7942, Charles Edward SAXTON 2nd Royal Marine Light Infantry, 3rd son of George and Edith of Rudgeway, Bristol, died at Malta 30th December 1915 of wounds received in action aged 36. 20 years soldier and hero. Holder of the Long Service and Good Conduct Medals
Commemorated on a family memorial in St Helen's churchyard, Alveston, Gloucestershire. Buried at Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta
