Born 1885 to William and Ellen Kate Coxon. 1891 with his parents and siblings at 2 Robinson Street, Dairy and Shop, Salford, Manchester. 1901 residing with his parents and siblings at 15 Crown Street, Hulme, Manchester. 1911 boarder at the home of the Staton family, 15 Mount Street, Charlton-cum-Medlock, Lancashire, occupation, packer of finished cotton

Reported missing on the Somme 1 July 1916 aged 31 and whose name is inscribed on the Thiepval Ridge Memorial, France. His father was granted a war gratuity 12 September 1917 revised 28 August 1919.

Commemorated on his parent’s headstone in Southern Cemetery, Manchester, Lancashire.
