- Charles BAILEY. Private, Royal Marines of H.M.S. Conqueror died 8th September 1859 aged 23. He became ill while swimming at Sliema and drowned. Native if Walton. (Source for cause of death, and birth location, Malta Family History) Memorial was erected by fellow Royal Marines, 2002. At rest in Ta Braxia Cemetery, Malta.
