Catherine Mary Alice AYLEN. Nurse VAD. Born 1881 at St Germans, Cornwall to Clarence and Catherine Jane Ayleen, nee Gibson.

1891 residing with her widowed mother and siblings at 1 Synwood Villa, Port View, Saltash, Cornwall.

1901 -1911 residing with her widowed mother and brother at 35 St Davids Road, Southsea, Portsmouth, Hampshire. Enlisted March 11 September 1915, rank, nurse. Residence, 35 St David’s Road.

Served in Military Hospital, Egypt and Palestine for 3 years and 8 months. In England she worked at Oatlands Auxiliary Hospital, Portsmouth.

Died at Lennox Towers, Lennox Road, Southsea, Hampshire 9 August 1919.

Her effects of £676. 2s. 0d, went to her mother.
