Caroline Maud EDWARDS. Nursing Sister QARNNS. Serving on H.M.Hospital Ship, Drina.

She was born 1887 in Llanharry Glamorgan to Evan Prosser and Erena Ellen Edwards.
1891 with her parents and siblings at Cadoxton Juxta Barry, 1901 still with her parents and siblings now at Rockfield, Monmouthshire

She was killed on board, as a guest, along with Eliza Millicent Elvens on HMS Natal while at anchor in Nigg Bay, Cromerty Firth, Scotland on the invitation of captain Eric Back who arranged for the showing of a Christmas film aboard his ship. He extended an invitation to local civilians and their children. The ship exploded about 3.30pm without warning, sending a series of blasts through the ship and sinking it within a matter of minutes 30 December 1915 she was aged 33.

Her next of kin was her father E.P. Edwards of Box 479, Park Town End, Washington, U.S.A.
Joined up 20 February 1915 and posted to H.M.Hospital Ship, Drina. She was a guest on HMS Natal while at anchor in Nigg Bay, Cromerty Firth, Scotland when the ship experienced an internal explosion.

Commemorated on the Chatham Naval Memorial, Kent.
