Carmel DINGLI. Gunner 40729, 1 Coast Regiment, Royal Malta Artillery. Son of Thomas and Maria Teresa Dingli (nee Gauci), Rabat. Died 24th April 1942 aged 26.
In memory of CARMEL who died through enemy action R.I.P.

Joseph SAMMUT. Lance Sergeant 3943, 1 Coast Regiment, Royal Malta Artillery. Died 24th April 1942.

Paul ZAMMIT. Gunner 4026, 1 Coast Regiment, Royal Malta Artillery. Died 24th April 1942.

Stephen SAGE. Private 7389802, Private, Royal Army Medical Corps son of William and Alice Maud Sage, Bermondsey, London.
On the 25th April 1942 German Stuka Dive Bombers attacked 39 General Hospital, St Andrews Barracks, Pembroke, Malta with 500 to 2000 lb bombs. He and six other men from the hospital were killed in the second attack at 12-15 when a 2000 lb bomb his their slit trench near E block. He was aged 22 years.
Deep in our hearts a memory is kept of a son we loved and shall never forget.

Salvatore GAUCI, Malta Auxiliary Corps. Died 26th April 1942.
Civilian Driver. A.M.D.W. Husband of Maria Carmela Gauci, of 5 Bugeja Buildings, Sliema. Injured at Ta'xpiex, taken to No. 45 General Hospital, at St. Patrick’s Barracks, Pembroke. and died in the hospital from injuries received enemy action.
