C382 ANDREW CHIPCHASE HIPSON Trimmer 4342/TS, Royal Naval Reserve on HMS Egmont. Born 31 March 1888 at South Shields, Durham to William and Margaret Jane nee Chipchase. In 1911 he was residing with his parents and siblings at 145 Mile End Road, South Shields, occupation Able Seaman Royal Navy. Died 1st August 1918 aged 30 years at Royal Naval Hospital Bighi, Malta from a malignant disease of the lung. His father of 6 Caledonia, Winlanton New Blaydon County Durham was informed of his death.
