- C347 PERCY BRUCE. Fireman and Trimmer, Mercantile Marine on S.S. Boldwell. A cargo of coal sailing from Tyne to Alexander was sunk by the German submarine UC-20, 35 miles NE of Linosa Island. Died 28th May 1917 aged 26 years from multiple burns received when his ship was sunk.
Two others died at sea they were Ebenezer Hill and Arthur Short.
At rest in Plot C Grave 347 Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
