C308 Quinton RAMSAY

RAMSAY Quinton Stoker 1st Class, SS/102688, HMS Grafton. Born 11 December 1886 at Leith Midlothian to Quinton and Janet Ramsay nee Mason. In 1901 he was residing with his mother (father at sea) and siblings at 94 Kirkgate, Leith. Enlisted 8 March 1906 on HMS Vivid II, occupation prior to enlistment paper maker. Died 3rd March 1916 aged 34 at Strada San Nicola, Valletta Malta from a cardiac failure. His mother Janet was informed of his death 5 March 1916, she resided at 249 Great Junction Street, Leith Scotland.
Memorial erected by the Ship's Company of H.M.S. Grafton in token of their respect.

At rest in Plot C Grave 308 Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
