Sergeant 496, 20th Australian Infantry (AIF) killed in action 10th October 1917 age 27. Son of Thomas Edward and Lucy of 18. Park Avenue, Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire and brother of Thomas who fell in 1918.
he is commemorated on his parents memorial at St James, Normanton on Soar, Leicestershire and also on the Menin Gate Memorial Ypres, Belgium
