- Squadron Leader Bryan Crosland, Royal Air Force. Born 9th May 1911 and was killed on active service in Malta on the 3rd November 1945. He was the son of Arthur and Agnes of Huddersfield and husband of Edith of Bradley Bar, Huddersfield. He is laid to rest at Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta
