HOLDSWORTH Fred. Able Seaman P/SSX 32254 Royal Navy on HMS Greyhound. Born 29 April 1922, died 22 May 1941 at sea aged 19 Son of John Norman and Rosalind Violet Alberta Holdsworth, nee Lake. In 1939, the family was living at Max Gate, Green Street, (presumably) Brockworth.
LAX Douglas Graham This is the only D Lax listed with the CWGC, Sergeant, Flight Engineer, 1852128, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve attached to the Royal Australian Air Force, died 31st March 1944 aged 20. Son of Edwin & Elsie of Torquay Devon. Buried at Rheinberg War Cemetery, Kamp Lintfort, Germany

The inscription on the memorial is surely to F., not E., Holdsworth. Probably Able Seaman Fred Holdsworth, born 29 April 1922, died at sea (H.M.S. Greyhound) 22 May 1941, the son of John Norman and Rosalind Violet Alberta Holdsworth; in 1939, the family was living at Max Gate, Green Street, (presumably) Brockworth.
