A Blenheim IV that took off from RAF Wyton on the 3rd Sep 1939, just 63 minutes after the start of the war, to undertake a reconnaissance sortie over Germany. It was to be the first RAF aircraft over Germany and the pilot was awarded the first DFC of WWII on his return.
