Extended Description
Information a little sketchy.

Bramshall ASD (Army Ammuntion Storage Depot
During the Second World War the Ministry of Defence requisitioned land between the GNR 'Northern Line' and the LMS main line for the purpose of creating an ammunition storage area. It is debatable whether or not its location was known by Germany but certainly one
bomb was dropped and exploded close to the old well behind Stocks Farm and on another occasion a bomb exploded in the Loxley area.
After the war, weapons, ammunition and other stock was transferred from France to this and other places in Staffordshire Bramshall and the other storage facilities were run by US Army as storage facilities. The facilities at Bramshall were fed by narrow gauge railways.
