Brampton War Memorial Derbyshire

This memorial is situated in the churchyard of St Thomas, Brampton.


You will note at the head of this memorial (one each side) an inverted Swastika. This symbol was a widspread ancient usage accociated with the sun and its name is from Sanskirt denoting well being, fortune, luck. The symbol had no sinister associations at the time the memorial was designed
