John BOYLE, Private 27380, 9th Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. He fell in action on the first day of the battle of the Somme, 1st July 1916. He was born at Ballymacarrett, County Down and was the son of Robert and Margaret Jane of 62, Ballymacruise, Carrowdore, County Down, Ireland He is commemorated on his parents memorial at Dundonald Cemetery, County Down, Northern Ireland. He is also commemorated on the Thiepval memorial, Somme, France.
