This type has always fascinated me. Turns out the odd-looking machine flew well enough but wasn't accepted for the intended reconnaissance role which was given to the FW-189.
Part of the reason it wasn't accepted related to the preferred BMW redial engine being needed in other types. Around 20 were made with none surviving the war.
