BEVAN, George Ewart, Lance Corporal 3374, 12th King's Shropshire Light Infantry who was killed in action on the Somme, August 4th 1916 aged 26. He was the son of John and Frances Elizabeth of (1901) Stanley Road, Buckley, Mold, Denbighshire and in 1911 with his parents at Bistre Buckley, Chester. He was employed as a School Teacher. He was the husband of Elizabeth E nee Thomas.
He is commemorated on his in laws (Robert and Elizabeth Thomas) memorial in Mold Cemetery and also commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France
