Benjamin James WESTWOOD. Able Seaman 213464 Royal Navy on HMS Lancaster. (Naval record show DoB 21st November 1883) Born 1884 at Hackney London to Benjamin and Martha Matilda, nee Dingle. In 1891 hee was living with his parents at 8 Florence Villas, Wanstead, Essex. Enlisted 4th April 1908, occupation prior to enlistment, errand boy. Died 22nd July 1910 aged 26 of enteric fever and syphilitic disease of the liver in a hospital in Malta. In 1901 he was in the Royal Navy at Portsmouth Harbour aged 19. His father was informed of his death 23rd July 1910.

At rest in Plot B Grave 189, Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
