Benjamin Harry BONELL

BONELL, Benjamin Harry. Private 2428, 1/5th Royal Warwickshire Regiment died 9th May 1915. He was the son of William and Sarah who in 1911 were living at 47, Rother Street, Stratford on Avon. His widow, Beatrice Ann, nee Edwards was awarded a War Gratuity on the 13th October 1915, his daughter Beatrice Maud on the 23rd September 1919, daughter Edith Kate, on the 24th March 1923 and Olive on the 10th January 1929. He was married in 1901 Beatrice Ann Edwards in the Registration District of Birmingham. In 1911 he was living with his wife and children at 4, Block, 176 Holliday Street, Birmingham. He was employed as Boaden Packing Case maker. He is/was, commemorated on a Poppy Cross on the W.W.1 War Memorial in the Garden of Remembrance, near the Holy Trinity Church, Stratford on Avon and also on the Ploegsteert Memorial, Hainaut, Belgium
