Extended Description
The following five soldiers all served with the 61st of Foot. (South Gloucestershire Regiment)

Private Arthur BENDELL, who died on the 21st May 1878 aged 19.

Private C HART, who died 18th July 1878 aged 21 years.

Private F HUMPHRIES who died 26th July 1878 aged 22 years.

Private J MURPHY who died 8th August 1878 aged 24 years.

Private J STONE who died 5th January 1879 aged 21.

This monument was erected by the Non-Commissioned Officers and Men of C. Company of the 61st South Gloucestershire Regiment as a token of respect.

John GRAHAM, Sergeant-Major 7475, Royal Engineers, died in Malta 29th July 1878
Wills and Admin, Ancestry. His effects went to his widow Mary Graham of 22 Lennox Street, Brighton, Sussex.
