BELL, Jack

BELL, Jack, Chief Engineer, Royal Navy, drowned 28th September 1918 aged 30. He was the son of John and Ann of Mill Gate, Thirsk and brother ofHerbert who also fell. His occupation in 1911 was a Motor Fire Engine Driver and he was living at 39, Park Street, Leeds. CWGC have, Chief Motor Mechanic MB/773, H.M.Trawler "Dreel Castle" Royal Naval (VR) died 29th September 1918 aged 30. he was the husband of Elizabeth of 421, Sunderland Road, Gateshead, He is commemorated on his parent memorial in Thirsk Cemetery, Yorkshire and is at rest in Barnoon Cemetery, St Ives, Cornwall along with an unidentified man.
