BATES Frank

BATES Frank, Royal Berkshire Regiment , formerly Private 4529 Cheshire Regiment, Killed in action in France 15th February 1917 aged 26. He was the son of Peter and Fanny of Winsford. He is commemorated on a family grave at St Chad's Churchyard, Over, Cheshire
The CWGC have, John BATES, Private 37191, 8th Royal Berkshire Regiment died (same day) He is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France. On the 1901 census Peter and Fanny were living at 14, Gladstone Street, Winsford with their children. They had four sons, two being Frank and John. I wonder if their has been a mistake on the family memorial, as all military records found on Ancestry.co.uk refer to John.
