Private 5053574, 6th North Staffordshire Regiment died on active service 9th July 1944 aged 29. Son of John Henry & Annie of Hartshill. Commemorated on his parents memorial at Hartshill cemetery, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire and is at rest at Cambers-En-Plaine War Cemetery, France
