Edwin THOMAS. Able Seaman 224199 Royal Navy on HMS Diana. Born 6th September 1887 at Boconnoc, Cornwall, enlisted 27th January 1903, occupation prior to enlistment, farm lad. He may have been the son of Charles and Mary who in 1891 were libing at Pleaton,Talland, Cornwall. In 1901 he aged 13 and his brother Charles aged 17 were employed as ordinary farm labourers for Mr Herbert Connell at Lanteglos-by-fowey Parish. He died 21st May 1907 aged 19 of miliary tubercle at Royal Naval Hospital, Malta. His mother was informed of his death 22nd May 1907. At rest in Plot B Grave 143, Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
