WOLSTENHOLME Arthur. Private, 12264, 6th, King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regiment. He was wounded in Mesopotamia and died in Malta on the 8th October 1915. Born in Manchester and enlisted at Pendleton, son of George who was granted a war gratuity on the 20th January 1916. In 1911 he was living with his parents, George Henry and Flora at 122 Hartington Street, Moss Side, Manchester. The 1901 census shows his parents as George and Emily. His occupation in 1911 was a compositor.
BETTERIDGE Henry Job. Private, 11043, 2nd, Hampshire Regiment. Died 8th October 1915 of diphtheria in a military hospital in Malta. He was born at Mottisfort and lived at East Tytherley both in Hampshire, son of Job who was granted a war gratuity on the 15th January 1916. In 1911 he was living with his parents Job and Mary Ann at Virgo, East Tytherley, Salisbury, Wiltshire. His occupation was a horse worker on a farm.
