Private 44976, 2/5th Manchester Regiment, formerly 33045, North Staffordshire Regiment died of wounds 16th October 1917. He was the son of Henry and Sarah of The Crofts, in the parish of Christ Church, Upper Tean, Staffordshire. He is at Rest in Etaples Military Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France.
