Arthur Philip HAYLING. Private 11201, 8th Gloucestershire Regiment killed in action 3rd July 1916 aged 21. Born on the 8th November 1894 to Albert Edward and Louisa Annie nee Anderson, of 4, Marion Cottages, Alstene Lane, Cheltenham, formerly in 1911, of 5 Moorend Terrace, Cheltenham., occupation an apprentice plumber. Prior to his enlistment he was a member of the Cheltenham Rugby Football Club. His sister Mrs Elizabeth S G Elliot was granted a war gratuity on the 2nd November 1916, revised on the 13th August 1919. Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France.
