- JOHNSON, Arthur, Private 290418, 1/7th Cheshire Regiment, killed in action at Gaza, Egypt on the 26th March 1917 aged 20. He was the son of Thomas and Elizabeth of 4, Tunnicliffe Street, Macclesfield and formerly of Brook Street, Macclesfield. He is commemorated on a family memorial at Macclesfield Cemetery, Cheshire and also on the Jerusalem Memorial, Israel and Palestine.
