Arthur GREEN

GREEN, Arthur Lance Corporal 15273, 8th South Lancashire Regiment died 19th February 1916 aged 30. He was the son of James and Ellen of Hayes Yard, Macclesfield. In 1911 he was employed as a quarry labourer. His brother\'s Private 12951 Albert, Private 49497 John Henry and Private 244966 Joseph also fell in the war. He is at rest Macclesfield Cemetery Cheshire. Please note, for some reason he is not named on the memorial. It is possible that the wrong name and information was inscribed. His brother Private Albert is inscribed and he was killed in France.
